Earth Day in Pacifica 2006...

The Pacifica Beach Coalition is planning a citywide cleanup for Earth Day 2006 that will include cleanups at six city beaches and numerous other city sites. Groups, clubs, families, and individuals are invited to help on Saturday, April 22nd, 2006 from 10.00am - 12noon.

Cleanups will be held at the following beaches and you can join any one of them:

  • Mussel Rock (by Transfer Station)
  • Esplanade Beach (by Lands End Apartments - tall stairs)
  • South Esplanade Beach (by San Francisco RV Center near Recycling yard on Palmetto)
  • Sharp Park Beach (by the levee near the picnic tables at Beach Blvd)
  • Rockaway Beach (by the end of Rockaway near Nicks)
  • Linda Mar State Park (by the south end of parking lot off Hwy 1)
Other events planned in Pacifica for Earth Day 2006 that you can join include:
  • San Pedro Creek Watershed Cleanup (Meet at parking lot on South side of creek mouth on San Pedro Ave)
  • Linda Mar Park and Ride Lot - cleanup, weeding and some possible planting
  • Pacifica Skatepark and Community Center & Wetlands cleanup
  • Hwy 1 cleanup from Moose Lodge to Vallemar
  • Non-native plant removal from Sharp Park Beach
  • Non-native plant removal from Linda Mar State Beach (this is on Sunday 10-12.00)
